Ingredients
- 1 pack pre-shaved Brussels sprouts (about 1 pound)
- Olive oil
- ½ cup diced pancetta or bacon (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Shredded Pecorino or Parmesan cheese
- Half a lemon cut into wedges (optional)

Preparation
STEP 1
Heat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Lightly coat with olive oil. Add pancetta if using and cook until brown and lightly crisp, about 5 minutes.
STEP 2
Add garlic and cook until aromatic, about 1 minute. Add shaved Brussels sprouts. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until tender but still bright green, about 5 minutes.
STEP 3
Transfer to serving plate. Garnish with cheese and lemon wedges (if using) to juice right before eating.
