Preparation
STEP 1

Prepare a small bowl of water. Use one wrapper at a time. Wet the edge of the dumpling wrapper with either your finger or pastry brush.

STEP 2

Scoop about 1 tablespoon dumpling filling and place it in the center of the wrapper.

STEP 3

Hold the dumpling in your palm upward without sealing the dumpling. Make 2 to 3 pleats on each side of the "front," then press tightly to the "back" to seal the edge. After folding, press the edges again to seal well. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

STEP 4

Bring a large pot of water to boil, add one pinch of salt, and some of your prepared dumplings. Do not overcrowd the pot! Using a spoon, gently move the dumplings around so they don't stick to the bottom. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from pot with slotted spoon and place on plate.

STEP 5

Spoon a little of the jade sauce over the dumplings. Serve the remaining sauce on the side.

Options

Freeze prepared/uncooked dumplings in a single layer on a parchment lined sheet pan before transferring to a resealable freezer bag. Dumplings can be stored in the freezer for up to one month.
