Life is Sweet

What is it that’s making you feel so warm inside? Is it the hot cocoa? The eggnog? Or the company of your favorite people in the world? With a little imagination, a little enthusiasm, and an appreciation for the good things all around, you’ll find little moments of joy everywhere. Here are some of the ways we’re doing just that.

Our wishes for making new memories

Here are a few of our staff picks for sharing little joys this holiday season. These seasonal items are here for some good times, but they won’t be here for a long time—so grab them now and create memories that’ll last for years to come.

-Gingerbread houses, awaiting your mad decorating skills.

-Bakery specialties: panettone, cheesecake, and holiday cookies that are instant bites of joy during this magical time of year, when each one can be considered a dessert, breakfast, or snack!

-Eggnog for the holiday purist and Chobani Oat Nog and Califia Holiday Nog for the dairy-free noggers in your life.

-Tony’s Chocolonely Gingerbread Milk Chocolate Bar and Dark Chocolate Candy Cane Bar so everyone in the house can get their chocolate fix, while supporting social justice in the chocolate industry.

-Mrs. Meyers Snow Drop and Peppermint Hand Soaps to make sure the cool scents and sensations of the season extend to the powder room.

-Fremont Winter Ale and Yonder Cranberry & Orange cider make pre-dinner drinks even more fun (who knew that was even possible?).

-Juicy, ripe pears ready for eating—or poaching, if that’s your thing.

To close this post and open up your season of joy, here’s a little ode to our foolproof ways of creating holiday magic at home (and a-one and a-two!)

Holiday candles that light up our places,

Bright-colored candies bring smiles to kids’ faces,

Diffuser oils and the scents that they bring

These are a few of our favorite things…

Cinnamon Orange Tea in our teapot,

Wreaths and bouquets and garlands and whatnot

Wicker gift baskets to hold everything,

These little joys are what holidays bring…

Fair Trade Cocoa

Mashed potato

Pre-made sides to share…

I just look around me and all I can see

are little joys everywhere!
