Ingredients
- 8 ounces dried pasta
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
- 2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped dill
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- Salt and fresh ground pepper
- Chili flakes, cayenne powder, or Calabrian chilis, optional
- Shrimp or preferred protein, optional
- 226.8g dried pasta
- 118.29ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
- 25.56g chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 12.78g chopped dill
- 12.78g chopped chives
- Salt and fresh ground pepper
- Chili flakes, cayenne powder, or Calabrian chilis, optional

Brighten up pasta night with this vibrant dish from Wildly Beloved Pastas. Silky olive oil, fresh lemon, and plenty of herbs come together in a light, flavorful sauce that clings beautifully to al dente noodles. Simple, fresh, and endlessly adaptable. Perfect on its own or tossed with your favorite protein.
Preparation
STEP 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
STEP 2
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Add garlic and stir frequently until the flavors combine. Then, reduce the heat to simmer.
STEP 3
Add lemon juice, zest, fresh herbs and chiles (if using) to the pan.
STEP 4
Add pasta to salted boiling water and cook to al dente.
STEP 5
Gently lift the cooked pasta from the pot of water and transfer it directly into the pan.
STEP 6
Toss the pan and gently incorporate the pasta, adding 2-3 tablespoons of pasta water to thicken the sauce if needed.
STEP 7
If you choose to add a protein, cook it in the olive oil and garlic mixture first and add fresh herbs and lemon per the instructions above. Alternatively, add pre-cooked protein at the end and incorporate it into the pan. Enjoy!
