Mustard and Brown Sugar Glaze for Ham

Ingredients
            - 1 cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons Dijon or stone-ground mustard
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves, optional
- 236.59ml light brown sugar
- 38.34g Dijon or stone-ground mustard
- 59.15ml orange juice
- 1.07g ground cloves, optional
A tasty and rich glaze to add color, flavor and shine to your holiday ham.
Preparation
            
                        STEP 1
                        
                                    Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl to form a glaze. Set mixture aside until ready to glaze ham.
                        STEP 2
                        
                                                    Use for basting lightly during cooking, and then to thickly coat ham during last 15-20 minutes of cooking.

                            To bake your ham preheat oven to 325°F. Place ham in a roasting pan flat cut down (on a rack or not). Add a ½ cup of water to the pan. Brush a light coating of glaze onto ham.  Cover with foil.  Bake for 12-15 minutes per pound or until an internal temperature of 140°F. (You can baste ham with juices from the pan throughout the baking process). Uncover ham, increase oven temperature to 425°F, heavily coat ham with remaining glaze, and bake for an additional 15 minutes for the glaze to caramelize.
