Ingredients
- 2 cups alternative milk (almond, rice, coconut, soy, oat, hemp, macadamia, etc.)
- 1 tablespoon tablespoon ground turmeric
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 star anise
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- Honey to taste (optional)

- 12.78g tablespoon ground turmeric
- 2.13g ground ginger
- 2.13g ground black pepper
- 4.26g ground cinnamon
- 1 star anise
- 4.26g whole cloves
- Honey to taste (optional)
Golden Milk is a traditional Indian drink made with turmeric to give its namesake color. The spices provide great flavor and health benefits including antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Preparation
STEP 1
Add the milk to a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the turmeric, ginger, pepper, cinnamon, anise and cloves and whisk to combine. Heat for 4-5 minutes until steaming.
STEP 2
Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Sweeten to taste with honey. Serve warm or over ice.
