Ingredients
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning or oregano
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1-2 pounds protein of choice
- 59.15ml balsamic vinegar
- 59.15ml extra virgin olive oil
- 4.26g Dijon mustard
- 12.78g honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4.26g dried Italian seasoning or oregano
- 4.26g kosher salt
- 2.13g ground black pepper
- 1-2 pounds protein of choice
Give your dinner a boost with this bold, tangy balsamic marinade. It’s perfect for chicken and just as tasty on pork, steak, tofu or even vegetables. It’s quick to mix, full of flavor, and instantly ups your weeknight game. *Be sure to allow time for your protein to marinate.
Preparation
STEP 1
In a bowl whisk to combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, mustard, honey, minced garlic, herbs, salt and pepper.
STEP 2
Add meat directly to the bowl of marinade or transfer it to a resealable bag. Be sure meat is well coated. Marinade in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or up to overnight.
STEP 3
For chicken, bring meat to room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking. Grill on medium high heat for 5-7 minutes per side or bake in a 425°F oven for 20-25 minutes.
Options
Minced fresh rosemary or thyme can be used in substitute or in addition to the dried herbs.
