White Chocolate Panettone Bread Pudding

This buttery and rich bread pudding is doused in a luscious white chocolate sauce. So delicious with the traditional fruit-filled Italian panettone.
Ingredients
  • 3 ½ cups whipping cream, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 18 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped, divided
  • 7 large egg yolks
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups panettone, cubed (fruit type preferred)
  • 828.06ml whipping cream, divided
  • 236.59ml milk
  • 118.29ml sugar
  • 510.29g white chocolate, coarsely chopped, divided
  • 7 large egg yolks
  • 2 large eggs
  • 709.76ml panettone, cubed (fruit type preferred)

This buttery and rich bread pudding is doused in a luscious white chocolate sauce. So delicious with the traditional fruit-filled Italian panettone.

Preparation
STEP 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

STEP 2

Combine 3 cups cream, milk and sugar in saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Add 1 ¾ cups chopped chocolate and stir until melted.

STEP 3

Whisk yolks and eggs in a medium-sized bowl. Gradually whisk in warm chocolate mixture (do this slowly to ensure eggs don’t cook).

STEP 4

Place bread cubes in a 2-quart glass baking dish coated in non-stick spray. Add chocolate mixture. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

STEP 5

Uncover and bake for 15 minutes more.

STEP 6

Cool slightly. Bring remaining cream to simmer. Add remaining chocolate and stir until smooth. Pour over bread pudding and serve.
