Ingredients
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • ½ teaspoon five-spice seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • ½ cup gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
  • Cooking oil
  • 1 ½ red bell peppers, diced
  • 1 serrano chili, diced
  • 1 Thai chili, diced (red if available)
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (12 ounces) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounces) can tomato paste
  • ½ cup pork ramen stock
  • Hot cooked rice, for serving (optional)

  • 118.29ml soy sauce
  • 51.12g Hoisin sauce
  • 118.29ml gochujang
  • 25.56g fresh grated ginger
  • Cooking oil
  • 1.5 red bell peppers, diced
  • 1 serrano chili, diced
  • 1 Thai chili, diced (red if available)
  • 0.5 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (340.19g) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (113.4g) can tomato paste
  • 118.29ml pork ramen stock
  • Hot cooked rice, for serving (optional)

Preparation
STEP 1

In a large bowl, combine garlic, green onions, ground pork, five-spice, sesame oil, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, gochujang and ginger. Set aside for 15 minutes to let flavors combine.

STEP 2

In the meantime, coat a large pot lightly with cool. On medium-high heat sauté diced red pepper, serrano chili, Thai chili and onion for five minutes.

STEP 3

Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste and pork ramen stock and let simmer for three hours. Serve hot with rice if you choose!
