Ingredients
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Frosting:
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • a little warm milk
  • 946.35ml flour
  • 473.18ml sugar
  • 118.29ml cocoa powder
  • 4.26g baking powder
  • 6.39g cinnamon
  • 6.39g cloves
  • 1.07g salt
  • 118.29ml vegetable oil
  • 236.59ml warm water
  • Frosting:
  • 76.68g cocoa powder
  • a little warm milk

Preparation
STEP 1

Preheat oven to 375°F.

STEP 2

Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, salt, oil and water together well.

STEP 3

Take a couple of spoonful’s of dough. On a clean surface, roll dough by hand into a log about one-inch thick. Cut the log into about one-inch cookies. Lay cookies evenly spaced on a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough.

STEP 4

Bake cookies for 12 minutes.

STEP 5

For frosting, mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder and a little warm milk until smooth. It will use less milk than you think so add it slowly while constantly mixing. Top each cookie with a little spoonful of frosting while they are still warm.
