Ingredients
  • 32 ounces diced or shredded frozen potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of celery, chicken, potato or mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 ounces kielbasa (polish sausage), sliced in half lengthwise and into thin half moons
  • 4 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, gouda, Swiss or a combination of your favorites!), divided
  • 907.18g diced or shredded frozen potatoes
  • 236.59ml chopped onion
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of celery, chicken, potato or mushroom soup
  • 236.59ml sour cream
  • 2.13g black pepper
  • 680.39g kielbasa (polish sausage), sliced in half lengthwise and into thin half moons
  • 946.35ml shredded cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, gouda, Swiss or a combination of your favorites!), divided

Preparation
STEP 1

Turn large slow cooker on low. Spray inside of slow cooker, or use a liner.

STEP 2

Break up potatoes and place in slow cooker. Add onion, condensed cream soup, sour cream, pepper, sliced sausage and 3 cups of the cheese. Stir gently to combine.

STEP 3

Cover and cook for 3 hours.

STEP 4

Uncover, stir gently and sprinkle remaining cheese over the top. Cover and cook for 30 more minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Options

Although not necessary, pan frying the sausage until browned will add a lot more flavor to this delicious dish!

This can be doctored up any way you can imagine, by using different sausages, cheeses or garnishing with green onions, chives or chopped parsley. Try adding chopped bell pepper with the onion (or using O’Brien potatoes).
