Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 pound lean ground meat (chicken, turkey, beef, pork, or plant based)
  • 1 (8 ounces) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • ½ cup peanut sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 12 butter lettuce leaves
  • 1 English cucumber, chopped
  • ⅓ cup coarsely chopped fresh mint, optional
  • ⅓ cup sliced green onions, optional
  • Asian hot sauce for serving
  • 12.78g oil

  • 1 (226.8g) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 118.29ml peanut sauce
  • 12.78g hoisin sauce
  • 12.78g soy sauce
  • 12 butter lettuce leaves
  • 1 English cucumber, chopped
  • 78.86ml coarsely chopped fresh mint, optional
  • 78.86ml sliced green onions, optional
  • Asian hot sauce for serving

Preparation
STEP 1

Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion and sauté until tender.

STEP 2

Add meat and cook until well browned.

STEP 3

Add the water chestnuts, peanut, hoisin and soy sauces, and heat through.

STEP 4

To serve, place mixture on lettuce leaves, top with cucumber, mint, and green onions if using. Fold sides over the filling and enjoy. Serve with your favorite Asian hot sauce.
