- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 pound lean ground meat (chicken, turkey, beef, pork, or plant based)
- 1 (8 ounces) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- ½ cup peanut sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 12 butter lettuce leaves
- 1 English cucumber, chopped
- ⅓ cup coarsely chopped fresh mint, optional
- ⅓ cup sliced green onions, optional
- Asian hot sauce for serving

Preparation
STEP 1
Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion and sauté until tender.
STEP 2
Add meat and cook until well browned.
STEP 3
Add the water chestnuts, peanut, hoisin and soy sauces, and heat through.
STEP 4
To serve, place mixture on lettuce leaves, top with cucumber, mint, and green onions if using. Fold sides over the filling and enjoy. Serve with your favorite Asian hot sauce.
