Strawberry Shortcake in a Jar

Ingredients
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, plus extra for garnish
- 3 tablespoons sugar, divided
- 1 pound angel food cake or pound cake
- 1 cup cold heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 individual serving containers – (mason jars work great!)
- 0.57L fresh strawberries, plus extra for garnish
- 38.34g sugar, divided
- 453.59g angel food cake or pound cake
- 236.59ml cold heavy cream
- 4.26g vanilla extract
- 4 individual serving containers – (mason jars work great!)

Preparation
STEP 1
Wash and dry strawberries. Remove Stems and chop into quarters.
STEP 2
Place strawberries in a medium bowl and mix 2 tablespoons sugar with the berries. Allow berries to sit for 30 minutes
STEP 3
Cut cake into 1-inch cubes.
STEP 4
Combine heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar and vanilla. Whip until stiff peaks form.
STEP 5
In each jar, layer cake, strawberries, whipped cream and repeat. Finish each jar with some fresh sliced strawberries, then pack it up!
