Ingredients
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, plus extra for garnish
  • 3 tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 1 pound shortcakes, angel food cake or pound cake
  • 1 cup cold heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 individual serving containers – (mason jars work great!)
  • 0.57L fresh strawberries, plus extra for garnish
  • 38.34g sugar, divided
  • 453.59g shortcakes, angel food cake or pound cake
  • 236.59ml cold heavy cream
  • 4.26g vanilla extract
  • 4 individual serving containers – (mason jars work great!)

Preparation
STEP 1

Wash and dry strawberries. Remove Stems and chop into quarters.

STEP 2

Place strawberries in a medium bowl and mix 2 tablespoons sugar with the berries. Allow berries to sit for 30 minutes

STEP 3

Cut cake into 1-inch cubes.

STEP 4

Combine heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar and vanilla. Whip until stiff peaks form.

STEP 5

In each jar, layer cake, strawberries, whipped cream and repeat. Finish each jar with some fresh sliced strawberries, then pack it up!
