Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons finely ground coffee
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons sweet paprika (not smoked)
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 ½ teaspoons teaspoons kosher salt
- 38.34g finely ground coffee
- 8.52g brown sugar
- 8.52g sweet paprika (not smoked)
- 8.52g freshly ground black pepper
- 4.26g chili powder
- 4.26g ground coriander
- 6.39g teaspoons kosher salt
Science time! Coffee brings out the savory flavors of meat while also tenderizing it, and adds depth to spices.
Preparation
STEP 1
Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to two months.
Options
This rub is great on anything and everything you put on the grill – steaks, ribs, chicken and more. Allow the rub to really penetrate and flavor the meat by letting it sit for 20-30 minutes. Use a combination of direct and indirect heat to get that perfect combination of char and caramelization!
