Taiheikai Tokubetsu Junmai Sake
This Tokubetsu Janmai is soft and round, with notes of honeydew and pear. It should be served chilled and complements grilled meats, salty food and rich sauces. Its seimaibuai, or rice polishing level, is 55%. The Fuchu Homare Brewery was founded in 1865 in Ishioka City in Ibaraki-ken. The brewery also makes Watari Bune sake, but Taiheikai is their original brand. They named their sake Taiheikai because Ibaraki is on the Pacific Coast, which influences the food and sake of the region. They also hoped to send this sake to America some day. The front label of this sake is a traditional back label. To learn what it says, and more about this sake and others, please visit our website, www.jotosake.com. 15-16% alc/vol.
