Perrin Famille Gigondas
The Perrin Family has owned Chateau de Beaucastel since 1909. Over the past five generations, the family has acquired not only great vineyards in the very best terroirs of the Southern Rhone Valley, but also a great understanding of these terroirs. The appellation of Gigondas, benefits from cool winds and shade from the Dentelles de Montmirail. La Gilles Cuvee combined elements give this wine its unique elegance and finesse with aromas of cherries, blackberries. together with spice. violet and dark chocolate. The harvest is 100% destemmed. Fermentation takes place in large oak vats, while aging is in foudre and used demi-muids. This wine pairs well with risotto, duck, quail, lamb. pasta dishes, as well as all types of cheese. Serve at 59 degrees F.
