Grill up our house-made kofta and tuck it into warm pita with crisp vegetables, herbs, and creamy sauce. An easy, delicious way to enjoy bold, spiced kofta with bright, fresh, tangy flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
  • T&C Kofta skewers
  • T&C pita bread
  • Optional toppings:
  • Karam’s garlic sauce or Tzatziki
  • Shredded Lettuce
  • Tomatoes, chopped
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Cucumbers, sliced
  • Feta, crumbled
  • Fresh parsley or mint
  • Sprinkle of sumac
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Chili sauce

Preparation
STEP 1

Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the raw kofta, turning occasionally, until well browned on the outside and fully cooked through (about 8-10 minutes).

STEP 2

Warm pita bread on the grill, in a dry pan, or in the oven until soft and pliable.

STEP 3

Spread sauce of choice inside the warm pita. Carefully slide the cooked kofta off its skewer directly into the pita, then layer with fresh vegetables and herbs.

STEP 4

Drizzle with extra sauce if desired, add a squeeze of lemon, and serve immediately while warm.

Options

Grilled or baked Kofta are also delicious served in a bowl over rice and vegetables, on top of a salad, or simply eaten as a skewer with sauce.
