You may know Tiramisu, but here comes Beeramisu – espresso and rum is replaced with a stout beer which brings rich flavors of coffee, chocolate and molasses. A beer-lovers dream!
Ingredients
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 12 fluid ounces stout beer (non-hoppy)
  • 18-24 Ladyfinger cookies
  • Shaved chocolate or cocoa powder to garnish
  • 226.8g mascarpone cheese
  • 76.68g sugar
  • 236.59ml heavy cream
  • 340.96ml stout beer (non-hoppy)
  • 18-24 Ladyfinger cookies
  • Shaved chocolate or cocoa powder to garnish

Preparation
STEP 1

Combine mascarpone with sugar until sugar dissolves.

STEP 2

Whip cream with whisk or electric beater until stiff peaks form. Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone with a rubber spatula.

STEP 3

Pour beer into a shallow bowl and gently dip each lady finger for about 2 seconds per side. Place a single layer on the bottom of an 8-inch square dish, breaking as necessary in order to fit pan. Top with half of mascarpone mixture. Repeat layers.

STEP 4

Top with shaved chocolate or a dusting of cocoa powder. Cover dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.

Options

May also be made in eight single-serving cups and layered like trifle for unique individual desserts.

Requires 6 hours of refrigeration to set.
