Food ethnographer June Jo Lee helps families uncover what they truly love about food at this flavor-filled pop-up inspired by the upcoming book, "Kimchi Taco Time."
Join June Jo Lee — author, TED Talk speaker, and food ethnographer — as she leads families through a whole new way to appreciate vegetables and explore flavor.
Tackling food literacy head-on, June Jo gives families the tools to explore food with curiosity: how to taste, question, and figure out what they do (and don't) like. At this Awesome Sauce pop-up, attendees will create their own signature sauce — spicy, sweet, mild, or bold — while discovering how flavor carries stories across families, cultures, and generations.
Inspired by the upcoming (Fall 2026) picture book, Kimchi Taco Time, by June Jo Lee, author and food ethnographer.
