Fishwife

Chances are, your eyes have snagged on a display of Fishwife products in an aisle or end cap of your local Town & Country Market. With their candy-colored, maximalist labels, Fishwife's offerings are immediately recognizable in the otherwise staid tinned fish category.

Look a little more closely, and you'll realize that the flavor combinations that Fishwife offers are equally intriguing. Mussels with basil pesto. Smoked trout with red chimichurri. Sardines with preserved lemon. This is seafood that demands to be savored.

The inspiration for Fishwife came when Becca was living abroad in Spain and was introduced to the vibrant and delicious culture around Spanish and Portuguese conservas. Together with Caroline Goldfarb, she founded Fishwife in 2020 with the mission to make premium, sustainably sourced, and delicious tinned seafood a staple in every cupboard.

Today, they're on track to realize that vision. On the strength of a successful 2023 pitch on Shark Tank, Fishwife was able to expand its operations, catapulting it from a niche producer to one of the most prominent brands of the tinned fish renaissance here in the United States.

Unstuffy marketing and unexpected brand collaborations—including Fly By Jing, Lisa Says Gah, Jacobsen Salt, and East Fork Pottery, to name a few—helped to grow the market for tinned fish while cementing Fishwife's popularity with Millennials and Gen Z. Who knew fish could be so fun?

Like us, Fishwife understands how important it is for people to know where their food comes from, using their marketing to introduce customers to the folks who run the fisheries, farms, and canneries they partner with.

But what we love most is their focus on sustainability, a value we share. Fishwife sources its products from Marine Stewardship Council or Aquaculture Stewardship Council certified fisheries, as well as Fishery Improvements Projects on the path to certification.

It's fish that looks good, tastes good, and does good for local communities and the planet. What's not to love?
