Ingredients
- 2 ounces rye whiskey
- ¾ ounce sherry
- 1-2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 Amarena cherry
- 1 teaspoon Amarena cherry syrup
- Orange peel for garnish
- 56.7g rye whiskey
- 21.26g sherry
- 1-2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 Amarena cherry
- 4.26g Amarena cherry syrup
- Orange peel for garnish
A well-made, perfectly chilled Manhattan is one of life’s simple pleasures, and adding sherry brings out even more depth of flavor.
Preparation
STEP 1
Place a cherry in a martini glass and fill with ice to chill.
STEP 2
Fill a mixing glass with ice and add whiskey, sherry, bitters and cherry syrup. Stir with bar spoon (do not shake).
STEP 3
Pour ice out of martini glass, leaving cherry in the bottom, and pour whiskey mixture in. Garnish with orange peel.
