We made it! And we couldn’t have done it without the hard work and commitment of all our employees, and the support of our customers and communities. As the state has lifted most COVID-related restrictions and safety practices as of June 30, we are thoughtfully transitioning to a new normal.
Our employees who have been vaccinated may choose to continue to wear masks but they are no longer required to. We also welcome customers who have been vaccinated to shop our markets without masks if they’d like, and request that those who have not been vaccinated continue to wear masks as per the state’s guidelines.
Over the past few months we’ve opened some of our self-serve food bars and started allowing our customers to use reusable bags. While we are relaxing some of our stringent safety practices instituted when the pandemic started, we have adopted many of them as part of our regular routines moving forward. Over the next several weeks we will continue making plans to revive some of the other shopping experiences our customers and employees have missed.
While we know the pandemic is still a crisis in many parts of the world and that far too many families have lost loved ones, we are profoundly grateful to our communities for hanging in there with us, abiding by safety protocols, and for achieving high vaccination rates.
