This Greek cucumber yogurt sauce is cool, refreshing and will liven up any meal. Most classically served with gyros, but delicious with so much more.
Ingredients
  • ½ cup grated English cucumber
  • 2 cups plain yogurt (preferably Greek)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh mint, optional
  • Salt to taste
  • 118.29ml grated English cucumber
  • 473.18ml plain yogurt (preferably Greek)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12.78g extra-virgin olive oil
  • 12.78g lemon juice
  • 12.78g chopped fresh dill
  • 4.26g chopped fresh mint, optional
  • Salt to taste

Preparation
STEP 1

After grating cucumber lightly squeeze out any excess moisture.

STEP 2

Combine grated cucumber with all remaining ingredients. Chill until ready to serve.

Options

Optional to drizzle a little olive oil over the top before serving.

Serve as a condiment for gyros, as a sauce with meat, on a burger, with grilled vegetables or as a dip with veggie sticks, crusty bread or pita chips.
