Chuckanut Bay Foods grew out of what was originally Chuckanut Cheesecake, the home of renowned gourmet cheesecakes since 1992. They hold to a philosophy of producing unparalleled flavor and uncompromising quality in their made-from-scratch cheesecakes and other desserts.
This family owned and locally operated boutique bakery is nestled in the stunning natural setting of the northwest corner of Washington. At Chuckanut Bay Foods in Blaine, a skilled team of bakers creates each gourmet cheesecake with TLC and detailed attention to stringent quality controls.
Inspired by the magnificent beauty of the Chuckanut Bay region (if you haven’t driven from Mount Vernon to Bellingham along Chuckanut Drive – do yourself a favor and do it!), their desserts feature fresh ingredients from farms and dairies throughout the Western US and Canada.
They use locally produced butter instead of margarine, pure cream cheese and pure vanilla. They avoid using preservatives and additives.
Well-trained, experienced bakers start from scratch and handmake each selection from bowl to mixer to oven rack. Their cheesecakes are neither highly processed nor manufactured. Although this is a more expensive means of producing cheesecake, they feel the taste and appearance of their products are worth the cost.
