Whiskey Grilled Steaks

  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 pound rib-eye or New York steaks


Combine whiskey, Worcestershire and tamari and pour over steaks. Let marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, turning occasionally.
Heat grill to high.
Remove steaks from marinade; discard marinade. Brush grill with oil. Place steaks on hot grill and sear 3-4 minutes until nicely browned. Flip over and continue cooking until desired temperature is reached:

  • Rare:               125˚F
  • Medium rare:   135˚F
  • Medium:          145˚F
  • Medium well:   150˚F
  • Well done:       160˚F

Remove from grill and let steaks rest for five minutes before serving.
