- 3 pounds pork spareribs, cut into two pieces
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons white vinegar
- Barbecue sauce of your choice
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place pork in a large pot and cover with water. Add onion, garlic, pepper, salt and vinegar and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 30 minutes. This removes a lot of the fat and flavors and tenderizes the pork.
Drain and bake in an oiled roasting pan, covered, about 30-45 minutes or until tender. Remove cover and brush liberally with barbecue sauce and continue cooking, basting frequently, until brown and crispy (about 10-15 minutes).
Cut into sections of one or two ribs and serve with additional sauce if desired.
