- 4 (6-ounce) steaks, your favorite cut
- 1/3 cup white miso
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
- Chopped green onion or chives for garnish
Whisk together the miso, sesame oil, soy, ginger, honey and oil. Poke holes in the steaks with a fork to tenderize and help marinade soak in. Place the steak in the marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes or up to four hours.
Remove the steak from the marinade. The marinade is thick and will coat the steak.
This steak is delicious grilled, broiled or pan-fried (use a non-stick pan). Garnish with green onions or chives.
Serve with rice or mashed potatoes seasoned with wasabi.
