- 12 jalapeño peppers
- 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese
- 12 strips of bacon, cut in half crosswise
- 1/2 cup pepper jelly or your favorite seedless fruit preserves
- Non-stick cooking spray
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Line a sheet pan with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Fill each jalapeno half with cream cheese. Wrap each half with a piece of bacon, secure with a toothpick and place on prepared sheet pan.
Bake 20-30 minutes until bacon is cooked but not too crispy. Remove bites from oven and heat broiler to high. Drain any liquid from pan. Warm jelly in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until it melts a bit. Glaze each bite with jelly.
Return to oven and broil for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot or at room temperature.
