Grilled Pork Chops with Lavender

  • 4 pork loin or rib chops, about 3/4-inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil


In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, lavender, thyme, rosemary and olive oil.
Rub all over chops to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for 1-4 hours.
Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high.
Place chops onto hot grill. Cover and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 155°F.
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
