Easy Au Jus for French Dip Sandwiches

  • 8 teaspoons beef base or 8 cubes beef bouillon
  • 1 quart water
  • 3 tablespoons dehydrated chopped onion
  • 2 bay leaves


Mix all ingredients in a saucepan over high heat until boiling. Reduce heat to a simmer and simmer about 15 minutes or until onions are rehydrated and flavors have meshed.
Divide into four cups and serve with roast beef on buns or baguette cut into sandwich portions.
