- 1 large sweet onion, thin sliced
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 pound halibut
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Layer sliced onions in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Top with 3 tablespoons butter. In a separate bowl, mix together sour cream, mayonnaise, capers and Parmesan.
Place halibut on top of onions and spread sour cream mixture all over the top of the halibut. Dot halibut with remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
