- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup beer, such as a light ale
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 2 cups shredded Italian cheese mix (mozzarella
- and Parmesan), divided
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
Preheat grill, broiler or non-stick pan.
Combine beef, Worcestershire sauce, beer, eggs, breadcrumbs, 1 1/2 cups cheese, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well. Shape into four equally sized 1-inch thick patties.
Broil, grill or pan-fry burgers, flipping halfway through cooking to brown on each side. Cook to desired doneness (5-6 minutes for medium), or until internal temperature is at least 155°F.
When almost done, top with remaining cheese and allow to melt. Place each burger in a bun, served with your favorite toppings.
