Basic Pumpkin Pie

  • 2 cups homemade pumpkin puree or 1 (15 ounce) can pure pumpkin
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 prepared pie crust, chilled


Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except crust.
Whisk until well blended.
Pour into chilled crust.
Bake until edge of crust is golden brown, and custard is set, 50-55 minutes.
Cool before serving.
