Avocado Cream Sauce

  • 1 large avocado
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup half-and-half or cream
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Juice of 1/2 lime or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons jalapeño sauce
  • Kosher salt to taste


Place all ingredients together in a food processor or blender and process until smooth.
Add milk if it's too thick.
Alternately: Make this a heart-healthy sauce by using Greek yogurt in place of sour cream and thinning with a little non-fat milk as needed.

This sauce is great drizzled over fish or chicken served with salsa. Try over pan-fried potatoes or even on scrambled eggs.
