  • Fruit! Drizzle any or these fruits with olive or vegetable oil and place on a medium-high grill. Great for salads, salsa and desserts, the fruit should be ripe, but firm.

     

Directions

Apples ... Sliced around core to stay intact, or cut into chunks and put on skewers ... 2-4 minutes per side
Apricots ... Cut in half, remove pits ... Grill on cut side ... 2-4 minutes
Bananas ... In the skin, for dessert. For a twist, slice into side and add chocolate. Serve with ice cream ... 2-4 minutes
Figs ... Slice side, stuff with blue cheese, wrap with prosciutto and skewer ... 2-4 minutes
Lemons ... Cut in half ... Grill on cut side ... Squeeze on salads and meats when done ... 4 minutes
Mangos ... Cut along both sides of pit ... Grill on cut side ... 4-6 minutes per side
Melons ... Cut in wedges or into cubes to place on skewers ... 2-4 minutes per side
Nectarines ... Cut in half and pit or cut along both sides of pit ... Grill on cut side ... 2-4 minutes
Oranges ... Like lemons: cut in half ... Grill on cut side ... Squeeze over salads or meats ... 4 minutes
Peaches ... Cut in half, remove pits ... Grill on cut side ... 2-4 minutes
Pineapples ... Remove crown, cut off shell if desired, slice and core ... Grill on both sides ... 2-4 minutes per side
Plums ... Cut in half, remove pit ... Grill on cut side ... 2-4 minutes
